Joshua Levine, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Levine was appointed CEO of Proteologics in January 2011. From September 2008 until September 2010, he was Chairman of the Board of Proteologics. Concurrently, he was Senior Director at Teva Innovative Ventures responsible for, among other things, business development as well as alliance management for the unit. He has also held several executive positions within venture capital funds and boutique investment banks. Previously, he was a corporate attorney at a large New York City law firm. Mr. Levine holds a JD degree from Columbia University Law School and a BA degree in Chemistry from Yeshiva University.
Ety Klinger, Ph.D, MBA, Vice President Research & Development
Dr. Klinger joined Proteologics in July 2011. Before joining Proteologics she was a Senior Director at Teva Innovative R&D where she was responsible for the development of many innovative products, and served in several executive positions. She has a broad experience in drug development starting from pre-clinical to post marketing and life cycle management activities. From September 2008 until May 2011, Dr. Klinger was a member of the Board of Proteologics. Dr. Klinger received her Ph.D from Tel-Aviv University and MBA from Kellog –Recanati School of management, a joint degree from Northwestern and Tel Aviv Universities.
Esti Hayun, C.P.A (ISR), L.L.M., CFO
Ms. Hayun joined Proteologics in 2005. Prior to joining Proteologics, Ms. Hayun was finance manager in several companies, including Colbar R&D Ltd., a biotechnology company bought by J&J. Ms. Hayun holds a degree in business management and accounting from the College of Management and a L.L.M degree from Bar Ilan University, Ramat Gan.
Omri Erez, Ph.D., Head of Discovery
Dr. Erez joined Proteologics in 2003 as a research Team Leader. In 2005, he was appointed to be the Head of the Biological Research. Since 2008, he is the head of the Discovery at Proteologics. In his current position, he is responsible for the in-house cellular and biochemical activities including target identification and validation, assay development and screening. Dr. Erez received his B.Sc. degree in Biology from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Life Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel.
Philippe Nakache, Ph.D., Head of Chemistry
Dr. Nakache joined Proteologics in 2006 as Head of Chemistry after he was a Project Leader in Medicinal Chemistry at Quark Biotech Inc., Israel. Dr. Nakache received his M.Sc. in 1996 from a combined program of Uppsala University, Sweden and the Universite de la Mediterranee, France. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2001 from Bar-Ilan University, Israel, followed by Post-Doctoral Studies in Medicinal Chemistry at Montreal University, Canada.
Danny Ben-Avraham, Ph.D., Head of Bio & Cheminformatics
Dr. Ben-Avraham joined Proteologics in 2001 as a Bioinformatics team leader. In 2006, he was appointed to be the Head of Bio and Cheminformatics. Previously, he had been working at Quark Biotech Inc., as an Advanced Annotation team leader in the Bioinformatics group. Before that he worked at Comverse Technology, Inc., as an application engineer and activity leader. Dr. Ben-Avraham received his B.Sc. in Biology and M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from Tel-Aviv University, Israel. He received his Ph.D. in Genetics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
